Don’t get me wrong; museums can be wonderful places. You just don’t want to go looking for the latest diamond engagement ring style in a museum.
You may be thinking, “I can’t remember ever seeing a jewelry museum.” The reality is they are all around you. They are disguised as jewelry stores.
The first thing most businesses do in uncertain times is cut back on what they carry in their store, and jewelry stores are no different. Once the new hot styles are sold, they don’t spend on something new to replace it. Not at Lee Read, we are Open for Love, and I’m happy to report Love is alive and well!
In many ways, people appreciate the relationships we have more today than we did six months ago. We are seeing more and more people purchasing engagement rings, men’s wedding bands, and diamond jewelry for anniversaries and birthdays.
Meeting and helping people celebrate these relationships is the best part of what I do. It can be frustrating at times because, at Lee Read, we try to carry the latest fashions and styles that are timeless. But we don’t stock dozens of the same designs as the chain stores do.
Almost every week, we have a guest who tells us we are the first place they have looked and want us to hold an item while they decide. I wish we could, but many times the item is sold before they return. The reason this happens so often is we sell a lot of bridal pieces every week.
The other reason is we have diamond jewelry; other stores don’t. Fire & Ice Diamonds are good examples; they are the newest development in loose and mounted diamonds. They are noticeably Bigger, Brighter, and Whiter than even Ideal cut diamonds. Our Guests are thrilled when they get the chance to wear one of these incredible works of art.
If you’re looking for a jewelry store and not a museum, come see our jewelry store in Meridian ID.
